A Tin Shed take on a Golem ( Cereal Packet nonsense) .
« on: June 17, 2018, 10:27:37 PM »

Ink the troll, suggested I should try to make a Golem or a Vsf automata from cereal packet. So here's the first attempt.

(edited the original post as it sounded a little smug on rereading which isn't me  ::) )

So you're going to have to explain how you made this from a cereal box :O  That's quite a feat!

I second this proposal. It's a great model and you'd never guess it was made from cereal packets.

I'm guessing sandpaper was involved, but that still leaves a lot that I can't work out...

Nothing more complex than rolls and tubes  ;)

Here a couple of pictures that show pretty much all there is .

Cut and shaped with a knife, and sanded and superglue polished.

I am guessing the letter box on his back is where the written spell is put to bring him to life?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

I've never been a fan of the 'put the spell in the mouth D&D school of thought. I've always thought of it being akin to standing in front of a tank and shouting forward to the driver.

This is a method I normally use for pseudo statues on displays as its really quick and everything's ready for paint with in seconds of adding the last piece.

This one I was toying with south American feel rather than a full blown Aztec/Mayan . As I'm making some jungle pieces.I thought it might as well fit in there as anywhere else.
