Hello mates,

This time some old school painting... Yes, the box of Warhammer Empire,  Altdorf  halberdiers came to me. Over the past few years, I have been collecting most Empire miniatures of 4th and 5th editions all over the internet, and started a childhood project, painting a high standard Empire army. In a future post, I will showcase it here, but today, I will post some pics of my "w.i.p." halberdier regiment. I have 20 miniatures with the metal command, but have painted only 10 for now. They show their age, but are nice miniatures, with that old flavour GW had in its "Golden Age".

I painted them with GW paints, Vallejo and Foundry triads. The decals, although old, fit perfectly and add a nice touch to the unit.  The banner is printed, I am horrible at free hand banners I'm afraid.

I hope you like the minis, I  personally like them a lot, and I'm quite pleased with the result.

You've managed to make a block of monopose 90's Citadel plastics look good - very well done! Looking back I think it works ok in WHFB provided metal command models are used and the finish is quality. It certainly helps that awkward ranking is avoided.

Very vibrant colours, and the faces are especially good.

Hi there!
I bring here some updates from my Empire army, I have been busy painting some fantasy stuff, and I managed to finish half regiment of Reiksguard foot knights, the other half is just primed in black, including command. I also painted a Grey Wizard from Warhammer Quest, who will be used as my battle wizard in my Empire force. Apart from that, nowadays I am building the Empire War Wagon, but its crew is in bare metal yet... so no War Wagon pics for now.

I want to include a veeeeery old Steam Tank here.  In this blog there are pics of my other Steam Tank, the "Conqueror" in metal, from year 2001 I think...  Well, this one is the oldest of all Steam Tanks ever produced by Games Workshop. I painted it with Airbrush, oils and different acrylics by brush (Citadel, Vallejo...)
