Not much progress as I’m away but I have done a little skip from card (excuse the out of period figure but I forgot to bring a suitable one). The bits in the skip are scraps of balsa, card, sprue and some small gravel.

Not too happy with the orange rust as I didn’t bring my mix with me and the paints I do have don’t really work (it’s not worth a trip to the art shop either).

It’s the Tamiya diorama texture paint ‘grit effect’ and for this it works quite well for texture but it’s the actual colour I’m not too happy with.

It was always the intention to bring stuff out. I’ve built nine buildings so far

Hallmark bizarrely. Not sure they’re completely the right scale but they look close enough from some of the photos I’ve seen.
