Those Kryomek figures look like fun to paint, I might pick some up too.

I have been getting together some chest burster type things recently for my take on "Aliens" here.  I made some face-huggers from skaven tails and zombie hands, others old GW Necromunda Ripperjacks and some chest bursters from GW Tyranid Rippers.

Your take on a hive sounds like fun.  With your pedigree in that department I cant wait to see it... so that I can copy rip it off for myself ;)

Thanks for sharing and all that  :D

Have you seen the Colonial Marines from Gripping Beast?

They are rather nice. I was thinking of using these for the USCMC, Pig Iron Heavy Infantry for Euro marines, Corporate troopers or UPP (Union of Progressive Peoples - space commies) and the Kryomek beasties for the ubiquitous bugs. Wasn't sure it would work proxying the Helions for the movie xenomorphs, but you're excellent project suggest otherwise!

Love the hoard effect!! :D 8)

I'll be keeping my eye on this one!

I've seen the GB Marines but my game is set now so I'm using modern US troops, it's more of a Stargate setting than an Aliens one.

Just based the colonists:

Here's the colony in case anyone's forgotten it:

The old Grenadier (E4M miniatures) military troopers make great colonial marines, as do Copplestone's resculpting on the range, jungle troopers especially.

Yet another range of near-future figures I'd love to get hold of.

The civilians are particularly useful.

where are your colonists from Matakishi? They look pretty decent and it's not often I seem to see sci-fi civs.

Still going with Crossfire for many of your games?

I really like the look of the multifigure bases, but I can't make myself do it, as I think it ties them to a specific game. Haven't just recently tried out Crossfire ... I'm even more tempted though!
