Old Time Elves
« on: July 03, 2018, 02:02:23 PM »
In a dark corner of North Star, covered in spider webs, was a stack of moulds...

Recently I dragged them into the sunlight, dusted them down and ordered Alex the caster to find out what was on them.

The moulds were from the 1990s, and were of a range of High Elves and Wood Elves designed by Chaz Elliott.

We've cast 100 of each figure, and the moulds have gone back into their corner for a few years.

You can see the figures here: http://northstarfigures.com/list.php?man=155&cat=647&page=1

I wouldn't put them too far to the back, I reckon those will go like 'hot cakes'!

Does anybody have any idea how well these would scale with the Oathmark elves?

Thanks Nick, much obliged. Scale looks good to me, now I just need to scrape some pocket money together.

Do you know what range these figures were originally for? Are they from the same range that the old school skeletons came from (of which I have ten of; alas, still awaiting paint).

Hi Loop
Yes, Chas made both the Elves and the Skeletons. He started making them for a now defunct '90s company, but didn't do any more than you can see here as he went onto other things, running Wizards of the Coast UK indeed. The company shelved them as well because they made a decision to make cheap figures for WFB, and everything in the range had to be on slotted plastic bases.
Unfortunately for them, GW then launched the first good plastic figures, metal was no longer cheap.

...which begs the question; Do you have anymore of these wonderous sculpts tucked away?
