Rather nice. But you're in a spot of trouble, lad. There ain't no nice pictograph of the boat. (Perhaps it ain't painted yet?) Otherwise, enjoyable. I've got the rules but I hate excessive dice rolling - any mods to reduce the number of dice and, if so, how'd they work?

Can you please slow down your output. You're putting every other wargame to shame.
Good game, reckon the British will stand more of a chance using BP.

experienced a 1/1 scale ambush on the 4th as well. pulled up to a spoil island in my very finished boat, and was charged by hordes of scantily clad weemen!
Had to fight them off with bottle rockets!
They flocked to me like the Salmon of Capistrano! (my tight orange shorts, and orange and green crocs, had about the same defense effectiveness as red tunics at Ginnis)
Anyway, very pretty game there. Finish the boat, and the weemen will come.

Black Powder version now played - and a very different result. Thoughts about this on the blog

I read both reports and that's one of the best comparisons I've seen. Thanks for the info. Nice game, too.

The black powder stable, including hail caesar are fantastic rules. Simple, easy to modify, and they always give a good game.
I simply cannot understand the people who turn their nose up at them. I suspect they are the button counters who want to stack modifiers to achieve "realism".
Apart from fire and fury, I now use them with heavy mods for every period I game. It's all about the special rules, making your own where necessary.
As an example here's a mod sheet I made for pike and shotte to cover the great northern war:
http://gnwgaming.blogspot.com/2018/06/gnw-first-game-battle-report.html?m=1
I'm also using them beyond the intended period, including Russian civil war and ww1 east Africa, again simply by adding in some period specific special rules.
In the case of the latter periods, by replacing the skirmish order rule and modifiers with a take cover rule to allow units to go prone, plus simple indirect fire rules.
People also miss that in BP a unit is a unit. It can be a platoon, company, battalion, spaceship.
So I use it for darkest Africa colonial games, plus the East Africa period, with a unit representing a platoon, making a company with an mg a black powder manoeuvre element under a leader.
So it's incredibly flexible and simply is not just a battalion set of rules.
Really enjoyed your write up, and hopefully it will encourage more to take the route of easy and exciting games BP always delivers.

A wonderful AAR. You are right. TMWWBK is a set for rather small battles. We had also played a scenario, using my set of house rules the first time and TMWWBK rules the second time.
https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=102556.0
Both games had a lot of fun but TMWWBK was more lengthy.
