Good story. I haven't played  Necromunda for decades, but the phrase "my rookies ran out of ammunition" brought back all the fun and heartbreak of the game.

Mothman,

Great report! Thanks for sharing.

I noticed you (or I guess your opponent Colin) had some nicely scaled semi-truck and trailers (lorries).  Who makes those?

I thought July 4th celebrated the Declaration of Incontinence or maybe Incoherence, possibly both. :)
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Let's not unnecessarily annoy people  :D

Is the mdf hangar a sci-fi one? It works well in a modern setting.

Dock looks a bit like one I've seen in Suez :-)

Much of the developing world looks quite similar.

Matt - The trucks are all from Corgi.
Elk01 - The MDF hangar is from Sarissas Sci-Fi range.
Well spotted Derek.  Four of the boards are used for the Suez set-up, but obviously with different buildings in place.
You can see them again as Venice, Casablanca, Vladivostok, London, etc as the scenario demands.

Is the terrain built on Terra-Former tiles?

Chris, sorry, no Terra-Former used.
The terrain is built on 2' x 2' slabs of 1.25" blockboard which are so heavy you can really only lift one at a time.  At least they do not warp!
The boards were originally constructed (and not by me) probably 40 years ago for a South East Scotland Wargames Club Conquistador versus Aztec display game
Somebody out there may remember it in its original form.  Somebody might remember building it!  The dockland boards were originally the base for a huge Aztec pyramid.  Many of the other boards had causeways and canals.  Over the years I have adapted the boards to represent China, Mongolia, Korea, Mars and most recently Suez.

4th July?

1776 was a tactical withdrawal... we were playing the long game...
