Fabulous Jon  :-*
So unexpected and striking, compared to the usual gaudy array of landsknechts. Brilliant concept.

I do like that slightly later period blackened armour and plunderhosen appearance.  You've captured the effect really well.
What sort of size are they, true 28mm or larger 30mm variants? They look quite big.

@LT - you should have seen it last week; found a Japanese Sniper, a small heard of sheep, Flight 19 and a doubledecker bus in there  :'(

They look formidable and well capable of stopping the heaviest of cavalry. Well grouped also. I have a bit of a thing about basing figures closer together for regulars and I see so many armies based to particular rule conventions which are too spaced out for my eye. The pike men look just right.

Thanks 8)

They're all on a single base - 240mm x 120mm, 56 minis in total with 32 in the pike block
