OGAM - a Nordic summer's project
« on: July 07, 2018, 10:01:33 AM »
Yes, you read it well.

i have start an holiday's project for Of Gods and Mortals games  ;)., that could be fast to realise with not too much work for a busy man like me : Too many projects and so little time  :'( :'( :'(

I found the Godess of the dead, HEL, very cool and original :-*
So, after some search in the Reaper Bones'giant i select that one :

77107: Svetlana, Frost Giant Princess

with very light conversion, i get this :

a Wh40k axe and sword.

She is the sister of Fenrir, the giant wolf and the serpent Jörmungandr. So, thay are 2 easy Legends to find in my figurines ' stock.  :D

More informations and pictures will follow soon.

cheers
Eric

i have to choose between Svetlana and  Vanja, (Fire Giant Queen ref 77613) :
this one could be an another good choice ! But with a little more work.

to represent the half undead body part of the sveltlana , i use some glue drying on her skin and some cutter work to make scars. I drill her eyes to make "more undead look".

I am planning my own Norsemen for OGAM as I think you've seen, but being away with the family means it is all planning and no buying/building/painting/playing...

here is the conversion about the Plastoy see dragon.

No extra add, all part are coming from the figurine !

I just need to refresh the base with my new technic water basing.

More aggressive look and more action in the movement :

hope you 'll enjoy
Eric

Wow looks nice! I'm very curious to the final outcome of Hel!

it's time to work on the other brother of Hel , Fenrir :

Here is the materiel need for the realisation of a Legend vignette  ;)

* 1 Wh40 k wolf (al ready painted)
* 1 piece of garden bark lookin  like a rock.
* 1 Foundry 's saxon from the Death of Harold pack sleeping in my lead's mountain since many months .
The pose make me think the guy was falling from his horse...

* An axe and a shield , from the stock (GB or Artizan ones).
* a few tools for conversion work.

Now you are ready to get an uncommon Fenrir.

 ;D

and now the bad boys. The undead.

i start with some of my LOTR's dead army. A few guys in stock found in a job lot from ebay.
i just add some viking items to make "look like".

the other warriors will be based on the Mantic zombie-Ghouls box from my plastic stock   ;)
i have only one sprue of GB dark age warriors to mix with them so the conversion work must be ingenious to reach my goal : 20 undead for the goddess to lead in battle.....

i have rebased the Sea snake/dragon with some hot glue addition to give a more washing effect to my water..

and add more undeads with a standard bearer

ragged clothes are created with paper hankerchief coated with glue-varnish. When dry it's hard and ready for paint.  ;)

enjoy
