28mm WW2 Dutch army completed
«
on:
July 08, 2018, 07:07:47 AM »
I’ve finally completed sufficient models to field a WW2 Dutch force for Bolt Action or similar sized games. The models depict a small mixed force of the Dutch army as it was when the Germans invaded the Netherlands in May 1940.
The figures and models are made by the Dutch company May ’40 Miniatures, as well as one model by Reiver Castings.
There's a personal reason I chose the Dutch: in 1940 my father was a sergeant in the Depot Battalion of the Medical Troops in Amsterdam. So I've included a unit of medics in my force to honour him.
I've posted an article on my blog with pictures and descriptions of all my Dutch units, which you can visit here:
https://arteis.wordpress.com/2018/07/08/28mm-ww2-dutch-army-completed-at-last/
Here's a sampling of some of the pics from the above blog posting:

That's an army to envy! Really nicely done and I like the family connection to these.
