ShakoII French vs Austrian/ Russian
« on: July 12, 2018, 12:05:30 AM »

I played a couple of club members, who are still getting into the rules (Shako II). In actual fact they cannot even find the rules ATM. We did a basic 1805 pick up game, me using French and they used Russian and Austrian. Both side at approx 30 units each. Each Side had 4 divisions. Counters - Blues = Staggerd, Yellow/Red = Kills & Green = Blown Cavalry

French Dispositions

Russian & Austrian Dispositions

Turn 1 Allies advance the flanks

Turn 2- French chasseurs charge Austrian Grenzers and rout them

turn3 - More advancing & artillery causing casualties on both sides

Russians ponderous in their advance

Austrians in a fire fight with French

Russians now deploying into line

Turn 3 - French Dragoons run down another unit of Greznzers, but are now isolated

French Infantry advance in order mixed

Austrian Battalion masse move up in the center

French Grenadiers got bounced in melee

Turn 5 saw the end of the game as we run out of time. The French were getting the edge, but it was still nip & Tuck
If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!
