Try TAG for Vietnamese Civilians, some of their Up Country range might suit. Pulp has some suitable packs as well.
Sadly there are no civilians of any sort in the TAG Vietnam (Up Country) range. The closest are Viet Cong and they're all armed, and not readily convertible to civilian wear.

...Here are some of mine (most painted by the great Orctrader)

Thanks Lon.   :)

They were a real blast to paint.

Personally, I'm looking at the IHMN Black Dragon Tong setLINK when funds permit.   ::)

Hey Rui,

If you need a lot of  chineses, use the plastic Perry's madhists as base for conversion.
I think it's working if you get the time to look at them closely. Most of the work is on the paint job.
I have done this in 15mm a long time ago.....for Boxer war.

Cheers
Eric

Eric, thank you for the tip. :)
I wont do much conversions on this theme except a certain motorcycle with bandits on it... ;D
I got some more copplestone figures plus some victorious miniatures and the odd small conversion and thats it. :)

Smirnoff those foundry ones are great but unfortunatelly they are on the small size (more 25mm) so they wont mix well with copplestone. Though they are great for another project involving chinese versus japanese. :D

Coppelstone a big for chinese people, so use smaller size could be a good idea too.
Redoubt's Boxer could then fit the job, as the Old Glory ones then.
 ;)
In the "big" scale, you have the Gringo ones which can be mixed with Coppelstone.

Eric, do you have both Gringos 40 and copplestone chinese?
If so could you take a comparative photo please?
That would be helpfull for all. :)

My BOB figures will be mainly Copplestone so the size will be according to that manufacturer. :)

Rui,

here is the comparison scale with Coppelstone (modern one) - Gringo 40 and a Maximilian's Foundry :

and

i'm nearly sure that the chineses are on the same scale than the maximilian's range.
 ;)

enjoy

One problem is that many of the Old West and other pre-WWI figures still have queue. A few might still have them in the 20s and 30s, but most ditched them after the Manchus fell.

That's what bugs me most. There are small but crucial differences that make 30's era Chinese civvies noticeably different from Boxer-era ones.

I would be interested in getting a.couple sculpted via Steve Barber, if someone wanted to share the cost?
