Colonial British Cannon And Crew
« on: July 13, 2018, 08:25:32 PM »
My friend Tony came through with some 3D printed British Colonial cannons for me. I converted a crew from WW2 Soviets. Here are some pics of my first cannon and crew, and then an entire 24 point army for "The Men Who Would Be Kings." Those converted guys fit right in.

Here's a side-by-side comparison between a Perry Brothers plastic model (actual Sudan British, left) and my artillery officer converted from a Wargames Factory WWII Soviet plastic model and Perry Brothers leftovers (right.)

Hi! I'm Harry. I am a hobby addict; I game sci-fi, fantasy, and historical (including Ancients, Dark Ages, Renaissance, and World War II Manchukuo.)

Very nice. But why not just buy a lovely Perry crew?

That's the smart question here! Right now, I am between jobs and not expecting any substantial hobby spending for three to six months. So I am cannibalizing what I have laying around to try and finish up projects. I just finished a unit of Mahdist rifles using Perry plastic Ansar, WWII Soviet arms, and Wargames Factory Saxons to get a reasonable unit on the table before the end of the month lol.

I don't know enough about artillery to tell you o.0

I asked for a cannon on the smaller side, he made this one, two others in the next size up, and a machine gun on a similar carriage.
