Fantasy scenery?
« on: March 29, 2019, 06:55:07 AM »
Any thoughts on where I can get some really nice fantasy based scenery?

I’ve already got a nice windmill, in a medieval European style, so perhaps a big farm or inn?
I’m thinking resin, as laser cut MDF is nice but not what I’m after.
I’ve got plenty of trees walls etc from my WWII gaming.

I did see some ready painted stuff on eBay that was perfect but way too expensive, if I could buy that in bare resin and paint it myself.

Cheers

This range of Fantasy Scenery - Old-World Scenery from Apocalypse Miniatures was designed and sculpted by me and cast in resin.

Late pledges for pieces of this coming set are open until end of April.

Amazing imagination from one of the WETA artists.  KS has been really well run.

Gulp :o
Those are amazing.

Thanks.
Not sure I afford a whole town, but maybe a small house, perfect for my farm!

Getting terrain on this side of the world can be expensive as it is often bulky and therefore postage can be expensive.
I like some of the Ziterdes foam terrain but postage was prohibitively expensive.

In the end I did a google search and found this company:

The scenery itself was very good and they were reasonable on their delivery charge.

Sounds like price *IS* an object for you :$ so consider 3D printing.

The Creality Ender 3 3D printer keeps popping up in my browsing for a 3D printer, as an affordable $200 printer for terrain (and miniatures).

btw, If you play Gloomhaven, it's far less work and cost to 3D print the terrain and miniatures, than find existing ones to proxy the standees.

That Apocalypse Minis store doesn't work if you have an adblocker running: it'll only show a couple of products in each category. Have to pause the blocker & reload to see more.

Price is unfortunately a bit of an issue for me.
Too a point.

I can afford £300 for a building, but it’s better spent on actual soldiers.
I’m only after a single farm building of sorts. So spending £50 may be acceptable to my funds.

Maybe one day I’ll be able to buy the whole village  lol

Thanks for all the input guys.

Um, no.  If they don't want to show the products to potential buyers just go elsewhere, not like there is a shortage of choice.
