We were play testing the October Scenario of the month: The Deadrise a few weeks ago, and as always it was super helpful. So here is a little sneak peek of the happenings...
The Players:
Jack Spade played by Garrett
The notorious Okie Joe played by Dave
Ace Reporter Betty Bixler played by Me - Bessy
The scenario starts off with danger lurking all around as zombies roam the deserted land around Gerhardt Station.
But Ace Reporter Betty Bixler isn't going to let a zombie get the best of her, she spots a chainsaw that just might come in handy.
Jack Spade isn't one to be left behind, he jumps at the chance to get a shotgun. Okie Joe is more cautious, he has a feeling there are more than just three zombies around here.
YIKES!! Two of them come surging at Betty!
Holy Smokes, just that fast a horde of the undead swarm towards Jack, can he out maneuver these shambling enemies?
Okie Joe fires into the distance trying to protect Jack's back, but drawn to the gun fire, he now faces down three ravaged zombies.
Jack fights for his life as he dodges away from the mindless horde surrounding him.
Betty takes position in the back of a truck, taking potshots at the zombies as they attack her fellow survivors.
It works! Jack manages to free himself from the immediate clutches of the lecherous brood, "It's the old bob and weave method."
Betty's shots bring a zombie right to her, but Betty Bixler takes him down. Her victory is short lived, she can hear more zombies shuffling closer and closer.
Their darkest hour upon them Okie Joe is down, Betty and Jack are fighting for their lives. Betty screams for Okie Joe to stand back up and fight... but will they make it out of this alive?
....
YES! Okie Joe gets back to his feet and through sheer determination and gumption all three of the survivors make it through this harrowing escapade, a little worse for the wear, but alive.
Oh the horror! Betty was plagued by the monstrous beasts, but she managed to survive.
We had a ton of fun play-testing this scenario and hope that you will as well. Big thanks to Garrett for coming over and playing and to Dave for coming up with fun new scenarios every month.
As always thanks for playing along!
Bessy.
