This week I painted half a dozen British Light Infantry from the Perrys. They are from the 52nd Regiment one of the original "light bobs" units trained at Shorncliffe.
These are ready for the table, but to be honest I've sort of bottled it on the backpacks. I did a little research and really wish I hadn't, because there is so much contradictory information out there.
It's obvious that the packs represent the envelope type pack as opposed to the box type we see on infantry in the Waterloo campaign, but I've left it a neutral brown colour as black just didn't seem to look right. I may paint a circle on in the facing colour and paint on 52 in Roman numerals if no other info comes to light like the packs in the AWI.
Either way they'll fight just as well whatever pack they are carrying
.
They will eventually have their own Officer and NCO but for now Sergeant Hakeswill has been attached and will lead/bully them into action.
With these I have enough Brits for FFOL H&M and Sharp Practice, and so now it's time to crack on with the French to get them up to a SP size force.
Because I have to shrink the size of these photos to be able to display them on LAF they are a little fuzzy, if you want to have a look at them in glorious technicolor have a look at my Twitter feed @JAD965, you don't have to have a Twitter account to have a look (I think)
