I painted a couple of packs of Perrys Carlist War range civilians which I thought would be nice to populate my Peninsula table as table dressing/objectives/targets lol.
It also gives those lecherous brutes of the 95th some company on those cold nights in Spain, man woman or donkey :)

Lovely brushwork on some great characterful sculpts.
They will certainly look great on the table.

Not sure about the 'man, women or donkey' bit, though, mate.....

All lovely and neatly painted!

Great painting and nice idea. I'm going to have to look into those packs as Peninsular additions at some point.

It comes as nothing of a surprise to me that old Spanish widows disguise their shotguns as fans - sneaky buggers.

"Ne me fais pas signe ce fan, vieille femme!" ejaculated the fat French sergeant.

Two load bangs, in close succession, echoed around the courtyard and the sergeant fell first to his knees, then forward into the dry, dusty earth.

"Vete al Infierno, Frenchy." sneared old Senora Dosbarriles.

P.S. Just finished listening to the 19 hour audio of Jane Eyre, in which the protagonists "ejaculate" at every opportunity. Added for 19th C period feel.

From the first time I saw the old widow, I believed she was hiding a shotgun and I still do!  lol
