Initiative in "A World Aflame"
« on: July 25, 2018, 02:09:52 AM »
All,
I am a bit confused about how initiative is meant to work.  I have a small game set up to try the rules out. I have two sections (20 figures) of POUM militia supported by an LMG, attacking a town square defended by two weak sections (10 figures) of Guardia behind improvised defences.  When I roll for initiative, is it for one side or the other, or for each unit?  I messaged Paul, but I doubt I will hear from him before some time tomorrow.

I do not have a copy of the rules, nor have I played the game, but according to a review of the game here:  https://toysoldiersforoldgits.blogspot.com/2018/01/a-world-aflame-rules-great-antipodean.html each side nominates a unit to activate and each side rolls with the winner activating first.

Initiative is a unit vs unit roll.
