Problems with Picload?
« on: July 25, 2018, 07:55:48 PM »
I've been using Picload.org for about the last year (since the Photobucket debacle), but have just tried to link a photo of my latest figures and the image will not display.

The text I'm putting in looks like this: [ img]https://picload.org/view/dladacgl/20180725-helles_belles.jpg.html[ /img] (I've added a space in each "img" section so that it will display as text.)

Is anyone else having problems with Picload - or can see what I'm suddenly doing wrong?

The folder containing that image is password locked and cannot be viewed. That’s probably the problem.

I've just double checked, the folder isn't showing as password locked, although it was showing as not for sharing, which I've changed.  However, that's not fixed things.  It will show the thumbnail image if I select that link, but not the full image.  I've tried with some photos I've posted previously (and which still show up in their original thread) and they won't display as a new link either.  It's most vexing.

Got it. You need to fool with the image URL to get it to work. Take the “.html” off the end and change “view” to “image” in the middle of the address.
