Okay here we go...

Recently for fun I accepted the challenge to make an armoured train (amongst others). From the usual limited list of basic every day items.
For this challenge it's  cereal packet card ,cocktail sticks, and very little else.

Now the deal was add some pictures of the train you'd like to see and I'll take a crack it.. Due to the butterfly nature of the hobby. The images haven't appeared. As I'm a man of my word . I'm ready to start this project on Monday evening. So I've two options either make one up as I go. Or ask you chaps to post some picture of a period train you'd like to have a crack at (challenge was for a tutorial) .
Any ideas?

Hi !

I love this one :

It's an Bolchevik AT on the Finland front, captured by the Finns, and used later by the Germans

That's a nice change from the usual boxy Soviet ones.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Byblos,

Nice choice( surprised you've not built one yourself.)

It's a lot less complicated than it looks. So a tutorial isn't going to cause people to throw things at walls if they try it. In fact looking at the photographs. I don't actually see the need to even make wheels for a table top version.

Only issue I have is the line drawing as it contradicts the photographs . Do you know of any better pictures of the engine and tender? As the line drawing seems to be of a completely different one.

I thought that as well at first, but the fence at the top of the embarkment seems to be missing? It might just be hidden due to a trick of perspective. In any case, more pictures!

It took less than five minutes. Of half bothered hang over searching. ;D

Between this one,and the one's already posted . There's enough info for an educated guess/ bluffing.

If your intent on build this train(Byblos) then I'll happily build another one. I've no actual preference as to which style of train I make. Or are you just after me doing all the leg work,so you can avoid the pit falls. lol
I'm quite happy to build this one,if that's of interest to anyone.

Mark.

YPU.
I was rather hoping for an armoured train model lol

Byblos,

It's a European martial art in the Norwegian tradition. (spear ,staff, axe and knife. The first two I truly suck at  lol but the close quarter I can hold my own with.)
