Just wow. :o  Very nice.

Thank you snitchy :)

The hull and sails are a modified Academy 1:250 scale Roman Tireme. The cliff and wave are sculpted air dry clay (first time I've used this and it takes some getting used to).

Click the attachment to see what it also does (not figured out how to embed a movie in this forum)

Thank you all

Now that is a piece of scenery - great work!

It's not scenery - it is my boat for getting to the archipelago and back...

Ah, I thought it was for the Battle on the River scenario from the Lich Lord book. Well you've got a lucky crew :D

We had someone who played like a Dwarf with his Dwarf themed models

He used Telekinesis to move the treasure to him and then put up walls to block access to treasure and or his warband. Then safe in his bunker he filled the gaps with crossbows. Not moving isn't a problem when the enemy can only attack you from specific directions.

this was a very effective strategy which was hard to counter until people got the ability to summon daemons and imps to use as expendable berserkers. Alternatively people used mist to block LOS and then advice behind it to get them into assault range.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys :)

I play dwarfs in a lot of games but often the slow and solid approach just isn't great - most war games reward maneuverability more.

I do have an enchanter though and the telekinesis spell gets used a lot.

In GA i have a wave warden with the spell that allows you to move objects in water so basically I get an extra boat move in a turn and have built a small reputation of rushing in to the centre, grabbing the main treasure and running before anyone can catch me and pick up a treasure or two on the way out. Oh how the other players love the irony of losing a race to a bunch of dwarfs!! :)
