Frostgrave gnolls and GW beastmen
« on: August 01, 2018, 02:08:23 PM »
Would like to create a chaotic beat-men warband in a more "old-style" compared to the actual take form GW, mixing different humanoid beasts in it. How compare, size-wise, the Fg gnolls with GW beastmen? I was unable to find any pic...

The Frostgrave gnolls work just fine with any era of GW beastmen.

In these pictures, the bird-like creature with the mantis arm is a FG gnoll with a GW gnoblar head. And the front, central figure with the big head has FG gnoll arms. There's a GW ungor in the back of the first picture; ungor and gnoll arms are almost exactly the same size and can be swapped easily.

Edit: the creature with the polearm in the blue surcoat also has FG gnoll arms (on a Fireforge body). There are several older GW beastmen on the element bases too.

Thanks, all - I must get back to them (and update most of the bases to match that central one).

There are some WIP shots here and in the surrounding pages that show the gnoll bits in close up (including a fair few that havn't been painted yet).

Nice!  It always struck me as weird that Citadel over time decided to make the CHAOS figures so uniform.
