Roman Infantry & Commanders

Following on from the additions to the Dacians the Romans were in need of some reinforcements.

Those are very nicely done.  They should not be afraid of your Dacians.

Thanks chaps.

No I think these boys will certainly give a good account of themselves against the Dacians, however with Dacian Warbands being twice the size of a cohort and with an ample sprinkling of falxmen it can sometimes cause a little self doubt to creep in and then who knows how the dice will roll!

Looking very good Jon, very much looking forward to seeing them on the table.

Let me know if you need any more tuffs

How well do the WG and Victrix mix together. When the Victrix were just starting to produce I asked about this over on the old WG forum. I remember someone saying they would not mix well with each other, the Victrix minis were larger.  I was actually hoping to use some of the Victrix pieces - weapons, helmets and such - to mix in with the WG minis.

Thanks Nick, the tufts are excellent and getting used quite a bit at the moment.

Thanks all for your comments, much appreciated.

Mad Gadgeteer - As explained in the post the Victrix figures are very slightly larger in stature and I will mix in some Aventine and Black Tree to the WG figures later to make them less obvious. That said I don't find them that distracting.

Not all of WG are that constant in size anyway, with their auxiliary infantry very comparable to the Victrix. The WG legionaries on the other hand look like orcs in comparison and need updating with better ranges like Victrix now available.
