Another period guys :o
Very nice work
Where do I find out about these rules you are using for everything ???

You'll get the chance to give them a try with various periods at BLAM :)

It's funny, the rules have been around for a decade, but just now catching on. Thanks in part to LAFers.

I remember when I first approached you some years ago you with some questions about the free version of FffoL, and you seemed quite surprised.

I haven't played it a lot, mainly because I struggle to get my gaming buddies interested in Old West gaming, but two of them are interested in Napoleonic skirmishing, and the Horse & Musket set should have us up and running in no time!

I've got them matey, drop me a pm  :)

Saw it, thanks, I shall, I am a bit occupied this week, but soonish...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Just purchased the FofL Horse and Musket PDF, and while the rules look great, I was also looking for the large skirmish rules that the Baron's Blog mentioned a few years back. Were they ever made available?

Beautiful presentation! I got curious about the rules - sounds like fun! https://meeples.wordpress.com/2017/07/05/review-fistful-of-lead-reloaded/

This paragraph from the review sums up the rules perfectly

"All-in-all, FoL is an awful lot of game crammed into a small amount of pages. Gameplay is fast and furious, and the rules have enough detail so that you can recreate almost anything from your favourite Hollywood shoot-out. The rules are designed to be fun and cinematic, and the way the turn sequence works means that the game flows very quickly, with each player quickly having to decide which is the best model to activate next."

It's very easy to mod for other periods too, so much so that they have become our 'go to' set for pretty much any skirmish game we do.

Thanks Dr! The bigbattle skirmish is one of the many supplements coming after Galactic Heroes gets out.
The plan is to publish a Fistful of Lead core rulebook that has everything you need. Then dropp monthly (hopefully) supplements for different periods/genres.

What size table do people normally play on in one-to-one games?

We play on a four by four but usually the actionn tends to be confined to a couple of foot depending how it plays out.

We've played 4-5 players on a 4'x4' table without any issue. They're a brilliantly flexible rules set, one of my absolute favourites.

We normally play on a 4'x4' table which gives us plenty of room for a 4 player game, 3'x3' would still be a good size for a 2 player and I've seen a 2 player FFoL gunfight played on a 2'x2' table with lots of buildings and scatter terrain.

It really depends on the scenario for table size. For a defensize style game, you might want it 3x3 to give the defender a chance to chew up the attackers at range. A street fight type game might warrant a tighter 2 x2 table. I play alot of 6-8 player games, so my table gets more to the 6 x 4 size.

I have enjoyed one nice game of FFoL for Old West, but this mod looks much more interesting! Stunning photos!  :-*
