Fantastic models and boards. Really rich and evocative.

Why don't you paint the paper for the leaves on both sides before punching?

That's phenomenal.

I'm very tempted to look into SS now. Where are those hexboards from?

Short answer is that I'm a lazy bugger ;D. But you are totally right, I should have done that. It's been my first time with some materials here, but I've identified some lessons learned ;)

Where are those hexboards from?

From Collateral Studio, a tiny Spanish company:

They also sell the other mdf hexes I used for 3D effects. Huge time saver.

I've finally managed to convert & paint the Khorne warband. Minimum conversion, just gladiator heads by MaxMini:

I kept the poses and weapons so the characters are easily recognizable when gaming. I only tried to give them a twisted looking with the horns and stuff (yet I took most of the original minis spikes away). Eventually I got this:

This one just for ambientation ;D:

You can find more pics and some explanations on the decision taking process on the blog.

Now I can play (Hopefully soon!)

So they turned into this:

Great modelling and painting. I thought "the power of Greyskull" when I first saw the pictures  :D

Wow. Thanks for sharing. I would love a tutorial from you in painting weathered metal. Some of the best I've seen. I can't believe how good the Blood reavers look with Gladiator helmets.

Thanks for sharing your art.

Awesome project man, those undead stormcasts look fantastic!!
And those board tiles are something else, really good job.

Have you considered punching actual leaves? They work really well and save you tons of work with paint and such :)

Ooops, sorry!! I missed these answers! :'(

I would love a tutorial from you in painting weathered metal.

You can find it on the blog post, where I show a step by step walkthrough. But I can take no credit at all, I took it from the Gardens of Hecate blog!
Sorry for such a late answer!

New commission, same minis. This is the third time I convert this kit; you can still make different things with these, which I think speaks highly of monopose minis:

My pal asked for living statues, kind of D&D animated armours. So stone it is!

I tried a slightly lighter colour for the bases, so it wasn't all the same chromatically speaking:

Finally, some ivy I had left from my boards:

Here you have them next to my own band:

Exploring the ruins (I need to photoshop that background!)

You can find them on the blog post too. The project involves all three bands of Sigmarites so far, so you can expect more statues incoming anytime soon...

Shadespire is a little gem. I would never have thought GW could produce a game that can be played with such a low model count.
Plus I really like the sculpts.

Your painting and especially the clever conversions are bloody brilliant!

I'll be very interested to see what you do with the Farstriders: I'm not a fan of the stock figures at all.
