I'm posting this here. Mainly because it is using two different figure lines in a face off.

Warmachine Bombardiers vs Sgt Rock and his mates from Heroclix.
Or in my World. Atlantean Power-armour against US Infantry in a refinery scratch built from anything and everything.

I got the bits for the refinery from electrical components, Diecast vehicles, Pen refills, Poundland, the Works, Kinder and Sprues from plastic kits.

Indeed. That looks very much the business & enjoyable to satisfaction. As i am kind preparing to start with a weird 'Nam project even before i have properly played some historicaly accurate rpg's, i feel strongely attracted to your approach. I also like to be creative and use primarily my own imagination to construct a game. Well done. ;-)
