Phenomenal work! I plan to get this set and add some Reaper bones carnivorous plants as well.

Oooh! I think I have a few of those somewhere! I'd totally forgotten about them! I'll need to dig them out!

Thanks!

I very much prefer your colour schemes for the plants - mine are still part assembles with just a single one finished, and I've had them for ages (I'd bought the forest box).
Nice work on the Drukhari.

I haven't been updating this thread for a bit... I finally finished up another Kill Team - some Drukhari for my partner, Amanda. She'll play miniature games with us. She especially likes small scale skirmishy games (like Kill Team!). But she has no desire to paint minis... So I always end up painting warbands and other forces for her to make use of..

Kill Team Crimson Wave

You can find more pics and details of the entire Kill Team on my blog:

I also finished up some more terrain bits...

These are STC Ryza Pattern ruins - not specifically for Kill Team - but GW terrain. I'm sure they'll make a Kill Zone at some point incorporating these bits...

Only just seen this thread. Great work on the terrain and the forces, and getting the kids playing!

Have you managed to play your Tau team yet?

I'm building a Tau team (my first non-epic 40k force) at the minute. I've gone a bit overboard on figures, probably have enough for 3 teams! I've made my sniper the one with the ion rifle, so that he can re-roll ones when firing on overcharge.

Drones are a good way of getting lots of flying shots very cheaply (if you accept they will nearly always be hitting on a 6). But you get 12 shots for the same points as an XV25.

Not played yet, so the above is still Theory Hammer.

Um... no... not yet. I've run a BUNCH of games for the kids and their friends... but I've only managed to get in one game myself so far... and that was with my Tallarn.

I have been busy painting though!!

I finished up the last of the STC-Ryza Pattern ruins that came with Moon Base Klaisus and, along with the other Mechanicus and Munitorum terrain I previously painted, I have a pretty decent set up for a four-player game!!

Now to actually PLAY a four-player game!!

Finished up a Genestealers Kill Team this weekend.

I painted these the same as the Genestealers I painted for my son's Space Hulk game so they could potentially be used together. Indeed I'll need to borrow one of the Space Hulk Genestealers as this lot only adds up to 88 points.

There are more pics of them and descriptions of the specialists on my blog:

http://saskminigamer.blogspot.com/2018/09/genestealer-kill-teams-and-other-bits.html

I also finished up a few more crates and barrels (including the crates from the Rogue Trader box).

And I made an objective marker with leftover bases and bits from the Sector Mechanicus bases box I picked up...

I have a game set up to play later this afternoon... hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to post a game report!

Far too colorful to be Saskatoon!  lol

I love the Bessie, the river, and been there too many times.

"too colourful"...? Clearly you haven't seen the river valley in autumn! What's brought you to Saskatoon?

We DID get in a game of Kill Team Sunday evening. Amanda's Drukhari versus my Astra Militarum. This was Amanda's first time playing Kill Team and her first time playing Drukhari... She was a little suspicious when we both lost two troops in the first round (she start with 10.. I started with 18!) I told her to wait for it. Round two didn't go so spectacularly for her as well - mostly because I couldn't stop saving all wounds dealt to me - seriously I've never rolled so many fives and sixes in a single round!? Then Turn three came around and the Flensing Fury kicked in and my team was utterly destroyed...

A full report with a few more pictures can be found on my blog:

http://saskminigamer.blogspot.com/2018/09/kill-team-drukhari-versus-astra.html

Here are a few pics of the action...

End of movement - Round One.

Drukhari Kabalite Gunner with a Dark Lance blew away one of my troopers..

Imperial Guard firing line.

Drukhari Hekatrix in the middle of it all - laughting maniacally as she flayed the poor guard soldiers with her agonizer...

Amanda... not gloating too much...

I got in a couple more games over the long weekend (Thanksgiving here in Canada last weekend).

Friday night we played a four-player game

Drukhari, Orks, Carftworld Eldar and Genestealers.

We played the "Recover Intelligence" scenario - points gained for each objective held at the end of each round.

There was a lot of fighting over the central objective marker - as it was worth the most victory points. Lots of back and forth.

Got in a second game on Saturday evening.

This time just a two player game with Amanda.

I tried out the Genestealers and she played her Drukhari.

It was a nasty brutal fight. Both sides lost 2/3 of their force. The Drukhari failed a break test on the Second Round - but managed to fight on until the end of Round Four - when the game ended and they won because they had the most victory points.

A report of the action and more pics can be found on my blog:
