Deva Victrix - Chester
« on: August 14, 2018, 10:49:47 AM »
A few weeks ago I got to visit the home of Legion XX Valria Victric and their operating base, Deva Victrix, now modern day Chester.

In this first post I take a look at the remains of the Roman town still visible to the visitor today

Thanks for that.  Chester is a great city with not just Roman remains, but also Tudor, Georgian and Victorian architecture.  Seeing your pictures make me want to go back :'(
