Action at the Factory (Anzio)
« on: August 14, 2018, 12:18:37 PM »
Cracking game of I Ain't Been Shot, Mum fought this weekend just gone.

We used scenario #13 from the Anzio: Wildcat to Whale scenario pack featuring the action on 8th/9th February 1944 as the Germans advanced on Aprilia (the Factory).

Thanks for tbe really interesting AAR,  I visited the area around the factory in 2007as part of a battlefield tour with the London Scottish. We had one old boy with us who had fought there, he said the Germans were ferocious and just didnt want to give up. Equally 168 Bde, (1 LIR, 1 LS & 10 RB) fought a tremendous defensive battle with big losses to both the Irish and the Royal Berks.

Thank you for sharing your AAR. The Italian campaign is an interesting campaign and one that needs closer attention in my view. Thanks again for highlighting this forgotten front.

All the best,

Helen
