Agis' Adeptus Titanicus minis
« on: August 18, 2018, 10:45:31 AM »
Too many good game releases! Kill Team, ASOIAF and Adeptus Titanicus!
 :o 8)
Being a big fan of the Epic scale I pre ordered the game and started painting a Questoris Knight ASAP after opening the game box.
Incredible good mini! Easy to build and paints like a charm, the minis was done from assembling to matt varnishing in around 3h.
Primed black, Leadbelcher spray, some yellow and light grey and some red here and there.
Agrax Earthshade afterwards, decals attached, some highlights and varnished, done.

Adeptus Titanicus GW Questoris Knight of House Coldshroud.

And a comparison shot with some fan made non commercial Titans:

Fan made Sculpt Legio Mortis Warhound, AT GW Questoris Knight and Fan made Sculpt Legio Mortis Reaver Titan.

cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

Amazing. I am too busy with the thing called life , but the new Epic is certainly on my to buy list.

Especially since I saw how well the new titans fit with the old 6mm minis.

Your paint job is amazing. Thanks for posting it!

Good (and quick) work!

Do you have any of the original epic titans to take comparison shots against?

Agis, I keep forgetting to ask - what colour do you use for your bases? (the rim, etc.).  Been considering a similar approach (muddy/green/beige almost).  Is it a particular colour, or something you mix?

Agis, you are a legend. I was all pumped for Adeptus but then went into store and saw how fiddly assembly of the minis was and how in particular the Questoris Knight looked too small to paint sensibly. I’ve always been about 28-32mm. But you’ve done a fantastic job and I will rethink.

Vallejo Flat Earth, while wet I sometimes mix in some grey (as shown) or beige .
Then a beige drybrush, rim is again Flat earth.

AT was one of the few GW that i never played back it the day, it came in on the end of the Quality GW wave just before the Dark Times and although I bought it and Space Marine I never played it. But it inspired me to switch to 6mm minis.

Are they re-releasing Space Marine too?

Primed black, Leadbelcher spray, some yellow and light grey and some red here and there.
Agrax Earthshade afterwards, decals attached, some highlights and varnished, done.

Well you make that sound easier than I am sure it is...  ;)

Really beautiful work

Excellent job on the knight. I can't wait to get my copy of AT. The warhoud & reaver are lovely as well. I see you went with a thinner base on the knight. I am with you there. The 3mm high bases are too tall for this small of scale.

As said on my site and above, the Reaver and Warhound are "fan made non commercial Titans".

But worry not, GW will soon release both in even better detail!

I finally started a Warhound!

Legio Gryphonicus
The Legio Gryphonicus is a Loyalist Titan Legion of the Collegia Titanica, one of the military arms of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Regarded by many as one of the greatest of all Titan Legions and an exemplar of its kind, the Legio Gryphonicus or "War Griffons" to give them their more common appellation, suffered a trial by fire during the dark days of the Horus Heresy and remained true to their oaths to the Imperium and unwavering in battle against the Traitor Legions.
Millennia later, in 997.M41, the homeworld of the Legio Gryphonicus would suffer the devastation wrought upon it by the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Leviathan.

And some buildings:
