This is great stuff and very timely. Always wanted to do paleo gaming and just started it as a distraction from my other projects. This thread is inspiring to say the least.

Today saw the finishing touches of the project.
I needed a few more conifer trees, because my scenario will play out in a colder region.

And a few more minis....you cant have enough Copplestone cave man ...and women....;)

Cheers,
Don

Oh wow. Those are all fantastic. Love the scratch built huts especially.

With that size of a collection,  you could play all manner of rule sets. I wonder which you have in mind...?

Copplestone are just beautiful figures.
Lovely job.

I painted a few up last year, but I may re visit them and steal some of your ideas, please.

Thank you very much....;)

On Sunday was the big game: 5 players, one game master on a 4x6 table.
As for the rules I used a mix from Lord of the Rings ruleset and some homebrew stuff.
Players had one family centered a round a marker. The family could use two of six actions: move, fight, scream for help of the primitive gods, search for food and so on.
Each family had 7 members: hunters, women, kids and a shaman here and there. Some had fire. All families were Copplestone.
Initiative was card-driven. The stack contained: one card for each family, one for the animals, one for the opponents and one for who ever was the favorite of the Moon godess on the central hill.
At the start of each round every family could get reenforcemnts.

The setting was shortly before the latest Ice Age is kicking in (builded a sketch glacier a day before). Each family had to gather food and fight of the other familys and primitive neanderthalers and advanved Cro Magnonts.
Was too busy for in game shots....sorry.

Red cubes are food, ellow cubes are hero points (reroll or +1 modifier)

Was a fun game with lots of loughter and cabe men humor.... lol

@Do or Dice
I will show up with something slightly different...:-)

Cheers,
Don

That looks wonderful - have you heard of these rules by Steve Barber? https://www.stevebarbermodels.com/store/Prehistoric-Settlement-rule-book-p147996395 They look like they would suit what you are doing down to the ground.

Don, the huts look great, in fact I just redid mine that I had done with paper towel for skins.  Question though, why the green?
