A Misguided Fantasy Range by Bob Murch
« on: August 23, 2018, 10:17:36 PM »
I haven't done straight up fantasy figs in nearly 20 years. I might be a little rusty:

These hapless wanderers are available from Crucible Crush in the Americas

https://www.cruciblecrush.com/store/range/71/Friendless_F_cks_of_Fortune/

And North Star in Europe

Silly, or downright stupid suggestions for additions to the series are most welcome.

Bob Murch

Actually they are rather nice and characterful.

Very cartoony but certainly not in a bad way  8)

Some heroes and villains would be good?
cheers

'friendless f_cks of fortune' ... yep, that sounds like the range for me.

Hope you keep it going, they look great to me. Would certainly hope to pick the Dongo brothers up at some point (if northstar stock them?).

I dont see why these are misguided at all.

You have a style that is both simple but very precise in its execution and and that is lacking in many fantasy ranges which seem to follow the old rackham and current GW style of ore and more wierdness and more and more detail.

I hope to see many more.

They're great, just like your other ranges! 8)

I'd love to see what you would do with a couple of adventurous Halflings (yes; I know that sounds just... wrong lol ). or maybe a couple of wayward dwarfs? A close minded Paladin might be fun, or a completely overburdened 'complete adventurer'.

Some villagers to be used as objectives might come in handy as well; you know, those hapless civilians that get abducted as either food or leverage.

And maybe the old staple adventurers quartet of Barbarian, Elf, Mage and Dwarf? ;)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Love those minis!
It might be fun to see some adventurers of different races to the usual Human/Dwarf/Elf archetypes. I.e. Orc rangers, Goblin barbarians, Ogre thieves and other such unconventional combinations.

And a lizardman thief!

I like them but then, as you know, I'm a fan of your sculpting style.

The Wizard in the chair is just great.   :)

As a painter I like the fact that the Wizards have "plain" robes because it lends itself to "quick" paint job or space for lots of freehand.  Both options are available.

For additions how about a pack suitable for D&D with characters from each of the main races?  Dwarf, Barbarian, Elf, etc

Will the Dongo brothers be available from NStar in the UK?

Nice, basing the palaquin so you can move the figure round the table will be fun ^__^.

Now trying to choose a suitable actor for the character's "voice".

I do like figures that are easy to paint.
