Galloping Major Conversions
« on: August 24, 2018, 07:57:53 AM »
These are a few Galloping Major figures that I converted using Kings Mountain heads. I wanted a "cold weather" type look, so I used the more informal, but much warmer, head gear. The uniformed troops would be for F&I War.
The woodsmen could be either F&I War or AWI.
Figures painted by Chuck LaPine, who does incredible work.

The great Hole.  Hard to find cold weather garbed native Americans for the 18th century.  I do have some snow show carrying, blanket clad figures - but European and in 15 mm.   Chose to just mix them in with other units since I don't plan on doing any 'snow' gaming.

Nice work.  Herb Gundt building, perhaps?

Nope. That's a Grand Manner Lodge that I painted up.

I envision these guys to be on the frontier, where comfort ruled over fashion.
I love the GM sculpts and have done dozen and dozen of conversions.

Nothing like a unique figure.
