Holding the Ford - The Second Boer War
« on: August 29, 2018, 12:34:08 PM »
Oh jeez, I've never been in this subforum before. I'm normally found talking about ultramodern war where everything is just shades of tan.

Last week I managed to get a game in of "The Men Who Would Be Kings", pitting the Boers up against the might of the Empire. I took a few photos, hope you all enjoy!

It's on my blog at https://hntdaab.co.uk/blog/2018/08/29/holding-the-ford-second-boer-war/

If you wanted a change from shades of tan I'm not sure you picked the right war.  :)

Cool report. My jury is still out on TMWWBK. Our first game wasn't an entirely enjoyable experience, and there are some aspects of the rules that I am still eying suspiciously. Going to give it a couple more tries before I entirely write it off, though.

very nice table setting and scenario!
but you really cut in halves your precious WF and OG Boers to duplicare them as burghers defending slit trenches? :o...if so..what a luxury

The figures were all the hosts, so luckily there isn't a pile of Boer legs in my cupboard
