Carrots' Infinity Plog - Imperial Service and more
« on: August 29, 2018, 10:47:14 PM »
Hi all

After the friendly welcome I received on my Song of Ice and Fire plog, I thought it would be nice to share a bit further here. Firstly, Infinity!

I first got into the game with Operation Icestorm when that launched a few years ago. I've only recently started playing, but have enjoyed painting so much I have amassed a sizeable PanO force and am currently working on some Imperial Service. With the newer models I have made a concerted effort to make them more striking from across the tabletop, meaning my highlights are a lot bolder than they were before (albeit at the cost of being a bit sloppier up close).

Anyway, enough chatter, onto some photos!

I have a blog on which you can find more musings and a few additional photos: http://whyarecarrots.blogspot.com/2018/08/infinity-imperial-service.html

Comments and criticism are very welcome - thanks for looking!

Thanks all :)

The detail is certainly dense! I don't find them too bad because the detail is crisp enough that it's reasonable to paint - some of their older models are a nightmare though because they don't have the crispness.

On a different note, here's a test model for a JSA army that's about to get under way:

Probably going to try tweaking it a bit to make the grey a bit darker so the the green stands out more. Very open to any other suggestions - thanks for looking!

After more thought I changed the colour scheme a bit to darken the grey slightly and make the trousers a bit more red. I've also tried a new way to take photographs!

Thanks Ultravanillasmurf :)

I've done some more work on the JSA (and completely forgot to post about it here...) including the Daiyokai Dengekitai, which was a hell of a painting process, and had a lot more time lavished on it than the other models of the army so far. I've also painted the two Ryuken Unit-9 as well as the Oniwaban.

Anyway, onto the photos:

And a group of the recently painted models:
