Fantastic work, chaps, and I'm especially excited to see a very nicely painted Metal Magic miniature here!  :-*

#15 GW Rat Ogre, 90s style

No. 15 Rat Ogre
A second version Rat Ogre from Games Workshop, late 90s style. Not sure who sculpted these (Did Jes Goodwin do these as well as the 80s versions?), or which year they were released. Reasonably sure is was pre-2000 though.

40mm base

edit: changed the pic for one that was more in focus

That looks like the 4th edition release so is probably from about 1996 or so, when the Skaven Army Book was released.

#16 Tarmachan the Old
Citadel C Series C02 Wizards - 1987

I always wanted to paint him. What a great opportunity to do this. The C02 Wizards are an all time favorite range of mine. Maybe more to follow.

Thanks, I am actually not all that pleased with the pj; I struggled with motivation, as I had to cover an earlier partial attempt.

Oh, that's rather special. Lovely work there Sir!
For some reason I thought you had a 'thing' against the green-skinned ones but I must have been mistaken  :)

Thank you, Keith! no thing against them at all :) still have a O&G WHFB army in my basement and a nice couple of Space Orcs in my collection.

and the next one:

Great stuff guys. I think that troll is a Perry sculpt from 1984. The Daark figure was a 1986 release, I think He was a follower of Malal.

The Daark figure was a 1986 release, I think He was a follower of Malal.

The 5th Chaos God! Malal (sometimes called Malice) was the renegade God who sought to destroy the other Chaos Gods and their followers. His adherents seek out and destroy other followers of Chaos whenever possible. It's a pity GW dropped the whole Kaleb Daark and Malal storylines, because I thoroughly enjoyed them. They could have run and run.
