Very nice additions!

I unexpectedly got the night off today, so I suddenly don't have to sleep most of tomorrow, and I have decided to use that bonus time for trying to finish another very old mini I started yesterday.  ;D

That troll is great. Sitting in the lead pile for 30 years?  :o :o
This painting club is providing a valuable service in freeing all these poor old miniatures from the unloved darkness and returning them to the light with a fresh coat of paint.

Number 35: Champion of Nurgle

Classic 1988 model by Jes Goodwin from the releases accompanying the Realm of Chaos books. I was pretty happy with the rusted chainmail, but it didn't survive my poor photography. The verdigris on the plates came through well though. I found two unpainted copies of him in the box of old lead, the other one was a lot shinier but also had a lot more mold slip - this one was obviously in production for a good long time.

[Please forgive the Nurgling, I intended to remove him for the photo, but he was better attached than I expected. Kev Adams 1990]

I have the same Nurgle champion; it's a great figure and you've made a very nice job of it, particularly the face. I only picked mine up in the last few months so I've not painted it and you've got me thinking about colours now.

I love the realm of chaos era stuff. So much character. Great job on that

#36 - Lady McDeath (Citadel c1985 'The Tragedy of McDeath')

These McDeath figs are quite tricky to paint sometimes. The 'source material' such as it is, varies in how it depicts the characters. I had two moderately sized pictures, plus a small paper cut-out stylie thing of Lady McDeath in the scenario pack to go on, and all of them were slightly different from each other and the miniature is slightly different again! I basically had to go with a 'best fit' for the colours and whatnot she has, based on what my eye can see and leave it at that. I really don't like painting yellow (especially over a black undercoat) and her dress has about six layers of basic yellow over a white base before the shade and highlight were added on. I also tried to subtly play down the large hooter and bulbous eyes she is sculpted with, to make her face a little more human.

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

30+ years just to show how bad my addiction is I still have 5 Grenadier models Dragon Lords box sets of D&D figures I picked up new in 1987  o_o I hate to think what else I will find if I continue to root around in my lead pile  lol lol

Thanks for all the positive comments  :D

#37 dwarf on a horse (pony)

Don't see too many mounted Dwarves, found this one in the lead pile.
Think it's a mounted Dwarf from Fantasy Tribes?
Not sure if it's correct pony(possibly LotR?)
Varnish is a bit shiney, so will be dulled down at some point

Don't know about the dwarf, but the pony is Frodo's from the Citadel LotR-range.

Lady McDeath is lovely. Glad to see you continue the fine Citadel tradition of "got a biggish flat area? Better put a ridiculous pattern on there!".

Great job on the mounted dwarf as well, which is a figure I'd never seen. Nice he has a proper pipe for his travels.

Great rust on that skeleton Mark. And not shiny at all ;)

A wonderful, evocative Blackwolf scene as usual Guy :-*
(Why was the dwarf so hard to paint?)

Thanks all.
Haha Richard,as you can imagine the sculpting was a bit soft(31 years old),so some creative painting was in order.
My next go is something special, hopefully I can pull it off. He's from 1979!
