1940 French Motorcycle-borne Dragons Porteé
« on: September 09, 2018, 02:09:34 PM »
Just finished and ready to scout ahead!
They are for playing Battlegropup Blitzkrieg as a motrocycle recce patrol.
Composed of an FM 24/29 LMG team and a rifle team.
They are 20mm TQD castings from CP models.
I would later post a painting guide for them i´m working on.
Their bikes are still WIP, but, being SHQ are much less detailed and far smaller in scale.

Hope you like them,

Regards,

Diego

Lovely brushwork on the French troopers.
Best wishes,

Nicely done Diego! I also have these wonderful sculpts in my huge 'to do' pile...more of a storage facility!  :'(

I seem to remember someone else did a full set of Dragon's Portee in metal, using 1/72 plastic figures as a conversion basis. The guy did quite a few of these and they looked good! You can find the info on them via Benno's forum http://bennosfiguresforum.com/

Look forward to seeing your painting guide.  :D

nice paint job ... 20mm is a bit too small for my old eyes  :-*

a French modeller produce a range of Dragons portés, even seated ones

some tank crew, mechanics :

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

That's the one I was thinking of Lou! Do you know how they compare size-wise with the TQD ones?

Thanks for your answers!

I do have those figures also. They are marvelous.
compared to TQD, they seem slender and way taller, but great sculpts also.
I purchased them from Dalou Guilhem, a very nice fellow. I would buy everything else he makes!

Regards,

Diego

Great to see 20mm getting some love on these boards. Will be good to see how these and Guilhem's figures compare.
