Love the idea of these.

Do you have any rules to modify the ranges for shooting to reflect sic-fi weapons?

I thought about adding a +1 to the target for the activation roll of the shot and then using half the normal die to roll (so 6 or 3) if the target is beyond the normal range limit. That then allows longer range shots but should not disrupt the game too much...

By using 15mm, I'm effectively doubling the ranges, so I haven't thought about modifying things further. But your idea seems perfectly sensible. The XR rules do allow for very long-range support weapons, if I remember correctly.

Love this project. 15mm sci-fi always looks so awesome, and it's a well served scale in the genre. Especially when you consider the utilising of 28mm+ ranges as you are doing. Keep up the great work! :D

In your game did you run the Space marines as a single unit or as 6 1man units?

If you mean me, I had three 2 man units (each marine had 3 hits). With Heavy Armor that makes each unit 8 points=24 point unit.
Their opponents were a mix of heavy and light infantry with one berserker unit and a recon unit.

BaronVonJ - interesting to hear! I'm hoping to get our first game in this weekend.

I was a bit stumped for Berserker Foot in 15mm, so decided to go with a reduced-model unit of three "warp giants". These fellows need a bit more work on the armour (rust around the rivets, some highlights) and skin (more highlights on the faces, etc.), but they're getting there.

Thanks!

Irritatingly, I dropped the guy with the tentacle; the tip whizzed off somewhere and has yet to be found.

Here's a reduced-model unit of Elite Infantry with Super-Heavy Armour (and probably Armour-Piercing too).

We played our first game this afternoon, pitting a 33-point XR side against a 33-point side composed of DR forces apart from one 7-point Elite Infantry/Armour Piercing unit. It was a close-run thing, but the staying power of the super-heavies (above) proved the turning point.

I don't normally post WIP pics, but I'm quite pleased by how these Ork conversions are going:

I think they're from Khurasan, though I got them second hand.

And here are the first two finished orks, along with some swift conversions I did tonight. They actually look better in the WIP photo, which was shot in natural light this morning - but nothing's changed apart from the odd detail and the cloak!

I did a quick count, and I should have enough of these Demonworld orcs for a full 12-strong unit of Xenos Rampant "berserk foot", along with a two-ork heavy weapons team (the conversion with the walkie-talkie will probably be part of that). But I quite fancy getting some 15mm skirmish - maybe Pulp Alley - underway this weekend.
