Pulp Alley AAR: The Nameless Ruins (Flying Circus Mod)
« on: September 13, 2018, 06:51:26 AM »

By all accounts, the entire area around the Nameless Ruins is swarming with Servants of Apophis cultists and their various monstrous and undead minions. Since the Ruins must be crossed in order to reach the lost Tomb of the Serpent, the hot ticket for the posh leagues with a lot of resources is to secure some means of transport to help speed their way through the danger.  Ideally, some way to fly over the danger, since you don't actually have to cross on the ground.  Up in the sky, you can relax, enjoy the flight, and toss your empty highball glasses down on the noggins of the lowlife Apophists below.  The Lost Girls have been saving up, and have booked their ticket to fly.  But, it's going to be a rougher flight than they expect, because in this variation, the Servants of Apophis have their own Air Corps.
Yes, on the one hand, I have done considerable mischief to the Maestro's scenario.  But, on the other hand, I can honestly claim that what follows is the first Pulp Alley report ever to appear on this august forum which features extended aerial combat between a flock of harpies and a flying light delivery van.  It all evens out in the end.
So strap on your leather helmet, adjust your goggles, and tally ho, lads -- the bandits are approaching at three o'clock:

A really fun twist on the scenario. Very cool!

Indeed, another first is recorded in history!

I particularly like the way Wendy shows her nurturing caregiver side, explaining how the plasma turbines work for Lillie Poots. It isn't an aspect you see very often in pistol-packing freebooter adventurers. Is Wendy the one who started singing 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall?
