UVS: The Other Side - 05/03/2019
« on: March 05, 2019, 04:01:07 PM »
So Wyrd Games has brought out a new larger scale combat game called "The Other Side", set on the Earth side of their fictional variation of 1906 (Malifaux being the first side).

The figures are prebuilt PVC and use different shaped bases to Malifaux.

The rank and file figures have bases that drop into larger Fireteam bases.

The rules (as far as I have read them) use a similar random mechanism to Malifaux - the 54 card deck.

I do not have a large sample of figures to go on, but the Commander figure is much larger than a Malifaux figure.

The base for the figure is on the left.

I have not decided if I will have Granite Setts basing for the Fireteam, as that might be stretching my skills with the circular cutter.

For the Commander figure, I have started with a disc of Slater's embossed plastikard (though it could do with being a slightly smaller diameter).

So here is Kassa Lloyd.

She is a Commander for both the King's Empire and Abyssinia (think Edwardian Steampunk Wakanda).

That's a good looking model.

Back in the day Malifaux was one of those games I always wanted to get into. I have a small collection of the old metals and painted a few sets of the plastics to sell on ebay. The Other Side stuff looks interesting but I have too many projects as it is.
