Wonderful set up.
Did not realize that you have so many Chinese buildings on your site.
I may have to finish painting my Boxer Rebellion figures I stared in 1985. :D
Finally I might finish something I start. lol

Got the first figures completed, only several hundred to go  lol

The banner isn’t wholly accurate but it’ll do for this until I get my own figures sculpted etc.

Cheers fellas  :)

That’s some musket/rifle  :o

It’s called a jingal and was used as a small artillery piece and was quite often mounted upon walls or fortifications.

A peculiar weapon indeed, much like a punt gun I suppose!

The difference is that a punt gun is basically a giant shotgun, designed to hit as many ducks in flight at once as possible (not very bloody sporting if you ask me), whereas a jingal fires a single shot. The massive length supposedly is for accuracy and long range.

I don't see any reason why a jingal couldn't be loaded with scatter shot and vice versa (although a small artillery round to go duck hunting is a bit of an overkill  lol).

From what I've read, they weren't but I can't see why not in a friendly game. It would just take longer to reload.

I can though imagine some enterprising young Imperial officer seeing grape shot from a cannon from one of the powers and thinking "That's a good idea..."
