Very kind words, thank you!

Meanwhile, i primed the pieces and took some more blend-in photos. I'm just delaying the painting, i know.

A couple of believable configurations of the three pieces i've done so far:

And finally, a top view:

C&C welcome,

Cheers, thank you all! Unfortunately the rattle can had a bit of droplets left here and there. With the following airbrush layers it should all fade away, but still pretty unsettling!

More pictures when i'll manage to put some paint on this! :)

I might work on more terrain or - who knows - another robot thingy too!

Cheers,
Jack

I still can't believe the scale.

But I'm with the others - amazing that you finally undercoated them lol

Hah! I should take pictures with a model or a coin to give a beetter perspective, yes! :)

I hope to put some basecoats with an airbrush this weekend! Depending on how full with other stuff to do I'll be! :)

Cheers,
Jack

I was going to ask this on Facebook, but seeing as I'm here...

This stuff looks gorgeous, obviously.  But it does strike me as being almost unplayable, because there's no room to place based miniatures on it without having to place on top of your lovely design work.

Do you intend it to be on a gaming table, or is it purely a modelling project for your own entertainment?

Thanks! :) Well, the problem is Epic Armageddon related: In there units move in pretty large formations (although i'm hoping to find a way to trim the sizes down), so "cityfight" is not a thing anyways. At that point, there are types of terrain that count as passable for infantry and not tanks, but they still require large areas to move the numerous bases.

At that point, i'm considering these pieces as "impassable terrain", or objectives. Conversely, i'll have rubbles areas, or containers fields for playable terrain.
For skirmish gaming i go 28mm anyways! :)

Cheers,
Jack

It's nice to see that with forethought, you've still left enough open space should you end up re-using these for a game with smaller model bases and that that space would be multilevelled and highly interactive.

Ok, definitely NOT scifi, but since it's indeed a test for future scifi figures, i'm gonna post this here:
I managed to sculpt a human figure, rig it and make a few poses for it.

Then i made some VERY BASIC armor and details, and BOOM, i got over-detailed 6mm figures.
I am quite confident that by adding the proper details you could go very far with this approach.

And then I printed some. The detail is more than enough. I was in particular interested in quick ink-painting, so the parts had to be defined and separated enough:

Since it was a first test i posed them BEFORE painting, which is not optimal.

Scale Comparison:

and, after 30 minutes of painting, with almost base colors and washes only, here they are!

Long story short: now i know how to make warboys for my Mad Max dune buggies! Or marines sitting on the side of my tanks!

C&C welcome. Seriously, any trick to improve is well appreciated!

Cheers,
Jack
