Mad Maximilian 1934: The Fun and the Fury
« on: September 24, 2018, 12:40:21 AM »
I've been so busy at work these past couple of weeks that I have had no time to prepare a proper At my blog is a recap of our most recent Second Saturday Scrum Club gathering at which we took Maximilian 1934 out for a test spin. All of the cars, terrain, and miniatures in these photos are fellow Scrum Clubber Walt O’Hara’s handiwork, and they were a delight to play with on what was a fun break from our usual skirmish-level battles.

The evening also served as a dry run for Walt, who is GMing this game at the upcoming Fall In convention in November.

I had a really great time, although it wasn't until halfway through our game that we had figured out and remembered the basics well enough for everything to start humming.

See loads of photos and read a bit more about our game at my blog, Scrum in Miniature:

Great looking photos.
I have some of the same cars by Eureka.
Am starting a Pulp Alley campaign,
maybe can add some racing cars to the fun.

I've been wanting to give Pulp Alley a try for ages now...some of these cars seem like they would make a fun addition to such a game.

Great set of photos - thanks for sharing.

I didn't realise there wasn't a QRS (because their other games do have one). Definitely something a game needs for those of us that play several different systems.

Their racing cars are 1/72 and 1/100 - while Max 34 is usually played with 28mm. There's nothing (based on my one game mind you) of playing in other scales. 20mm or 1/72 allows you to convert all those Models of Yesteryear Matchbox cars.
