I have been trying for a long time to paint my collected works. Unfortunately, the first pictures are not very good. Sorry.

Awesome brushwork!:) Always inspiring to see miniatures painted up so well. Have some of those figures myself that have been kept in reserves, all primed and at the ready, that are going to see the light again
Do you add a light-blue grey wash to some of the pants?
I think that pulls out a nice, subtle contrast to the tunic.

Thanks for the compliment Gribb, that motivates me. For the pants I use different shades of gray. As basis German gray or neutral gray, as second step mixed with dark sea gray. the tunic is always based German field gray. For the highlights i use different typs of gray.
These miniatures were also in the box for a very long time. But actually i read a book
August 1914 from Barbara Tuchmann. And that inspired me.

Very, very nice painting indeed. Excellent rendition of the early field grey.
