Some mystery Germans - grateful for an ID
« on: September 25, 2018, 07:49:16 PM »
Hi folks,

following a recent visit to Arnhem, I decided to build up some forces and specific scenery to hopefully play a campaign of sorts next year. In order to not unduly increase the hoard, I set out to paint some of the lead mountain, and dug out the figures shown below, a couple of German late-war tank hunters.

I wasn't too fond of them in the bare metal, but they painted up really nicely and work well with both my pre-Warlord Bolt Action and BTD figures.

I would like to get some more, but unfortunately, I got them loose-bagged from a mate in a swap, and he didn't know the manufacturer back then. Already checked all the WW2 manufacturers in my bookmarks, but to no avail, sadly.

If anybody recognises the figures and could point me to the manufacturer? The bases are 25mm washers, the figures are a decent 28-ish size and had rectangular, integral bases. I don't recall if there was a code or something on the underside, and was reluctant to try to pry them off the already-finished bases just for that.

I'll have to see if I actually have any Artizan - I ruled them out for the Germans since I don't like the style that much (large hands and all, but its more the overall impression). I think I have some of the Artizan LRDG somewhere, though.
