Being a weak-willed wargaming collector type person it came as no great surprise to find my wallet had conspired with Ebay to empty itself in the direction of Star Wars Legions (SWL).
A two starter box bargain found me sporting Imperials and a friend having the rebels. Of course getting the figures is just the top of the slippery slope. Next up comes scenery and so I began looking at all the wonderful scenery that people have put together for SWL and it quickly became apparent that there was loads of great stuff available to purchase.
So I went with option B: Start from scratch a large and long winded project for making my own scenery.
Cos I haven't got nearly enough unfinished things on the go already.
So what to make? I was liking the desert setting but feeling a bit meh about Mos Eisley as so many people had already done so many nice versions.
However I was quite partial to the crashed ship debris on Jakku featured in The Forces Awakens.
So with this in mind I set about designing and do the CAD work to send to my friends over at Blotz who had been helping me with my VSF project
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=104743.0 Over the last few months the range of kits that make up the crashed space has slowly grown and is now complete!
A couple of barricade type things made from crashed hull pieces.
I've tried to make the pieces in such a way that figures can interact with them.
Evac deck with an un-launched pod that is available as a separate kit.
There is also a pod that launched successfully.......I wonder if there are any plans hidden in there?
Big ol' engine nozzles!
A radar dome......yes.... the angles were interesting.
And a bridge superstructure!
There are more kits but I'm sure you get what I was trying to do with them
