It's great to see nicely painted and thought out 15mm armies like this :) .

It also makes me a little sad because I love the scale and size of the armies... but have eyesight that prohibits me getting the detail I would like in 15mm painting...

Those Old Crow vehicles work very well for the red guard :) ... I have always loved Old Crow stuff :) .

Thanks guys!

And Inso I understand what you mean. When I started 15mm sci do I was in Uni still, at the same time my Dad was occasionally painting up 15mm WW2 and on occasion I'd give him some sci fi figs to paint (that I'll show off here at some stage). Unfortunately in the 6 years since Uni his eyesight isn't really able to cope anymore thus the move back to 28mm.

I sometimes wish I had bought Old crow in 15mm not 25mm... that way I would have four times as many of them.... mind you I do have almost 50....

Some more vehicles. I recently finished the Hunchbacks (Antenocitis workshop) for a minor faction that specialises in Counter-insurgency warfare. They will primarily be utilising Antenocitis vehicles; I've got a number of Warthogs to act as heavy recon/patrol and hopefully more units if the 28mm variants make it to 15mm.

The tanks are apart of a Platoon, Samson tanks from Khurasan. These are apart of the Federation a major faction which has quite a lot of toys and troops to choose from!

Great projects!

Where did you by the infantry you used in your New Xia army?

Cheers!

And the figures I used in that Army are currently being sold by Brigade Models, under their CDSU range I think. They were originally made by Armies army but were bought up by Brigade some time ago! There one of my favourite infantry types out there, mostly because the headgear is pretty unique!

Love your 15mm armies!

Slick brushwork too.

I have some of them excellent Critical Mass Games Astagar Sci-fi Snakemen and a few of the APC’s and Tanks from the last Kickstarter they ran.

I wish I had bought the Antenocities Workshop 15mm Sci-fi Tanks and APC’s when they were in stock (but always had never enough $$$ and too many bills).

I've only got the Astagar mercenary band! Theyre definitely one of the more interesting aliens out there! Shame CM packed it in. I have loads of their space port characters and the Jackal fellas (protolene khanates?) I noticed Ral Partha took them on but as yet only the figures are available and not the vehicles sadly as I'd like more of them.

Also I think you can still get the 15mm Antenocitis vehicles, they might have been re-introduced. I was given the impression when their 28mm-15mm KS is out the way they will release more models for both scales, but like yourself it's all about the $$$$! Most of my 15mm sci fi I bought years ago.

Do you have. Rules system you regularly use?

I’ve picked up the Gruntz rules but am yet to play.

I haven't actually looked at rulesets yet! I've played Tomorrow's War but large scale battles aren't suited to it, and it plays better with squads. I'm thinking of picking up Hammer Slammers, but I get the impression it may be too vehicle heavy. I've not played Gruntz but again it looks like a skirmish ruleset.

Here are some more pics!

Recently finished these Federal Army VITRO clone soldiers from Khurasan. These will be acting as Black Ops troops for the Federation, either deployed in tandem with Conventional forces or inserted anywhere in and outside the Human Sphere to handle threats by themselves.

After that got a Critical Mass Silo, some GZG space crew characters and a Mercenary/Insurgent Half Track from Clear Horizon. These were painted by my Dad when he still liked the idea of 15mm sci fi!

After this are some of my own characters, from Khurasan including a Road Warrior, a Robot and some random dude in a green shirt. After that are a few assassin's for hire from Clear Horizon!

Great work, love it all - especially the building!

Those last tech ninjas, are those Clear Horizon Miniatures?

Yes they are, I had a look and they're called Covert Ops Pack 1. I think I was boring and painted mine in similar colours to the ones on the store so they look similar as well (may change that!).

If you're looking for Spec Ops types you can't go wrong with Clear Horizon. Although if you're looking for Ninjas, them and GZG Japanese have a pack which are also very nice.
