15mm The Last Ship ...but what about the Boats??
« on: October 01, 2018, 12:34:10 AM »
Hi!

I’m building up for a pastiche of The Last Ship in 15mm (for those of you who haven’t seen... link... geopandemic apocalypse scenario, except one US Navy ship out on mission is safe and has a cure). Factions: US Navy landing parties, HAZMAT sailors, scientists, the ‘infected,’ the ‘immunes,’ and Chinese PLA. But what boats should I use?

I’ve seen a little from The Scene in the UK, but what else is out there?
Especially in the way of small rubber landing craft — and bonus points for finding a US Destroyer in scale.  ;D

Will 1/125 do for the destroyer? https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/lin/kit_lin_70815.shtml

Otherwise the ship modellers have (very expensive) kits in 1/96, but they're not simple models, since you often have to source models from multiple sources to make a complete kit.
