Feudal Fantasy Freefolk and the Restless Dead
« on: October 01, 2018, 03:43:17 PM »
Hi,
this is part 2 of introducing my current projects for you here at the Lead adventure forum.

For past 1,5 years or so, I have been building up two themed forces and an accompanying gaming table and scenery for them. The forces are Life bloomed Feudal Freefolk with their allies and the not so lively Undead.

The project has started as an excuse to paint up some models that I had lying around without a proper home when I realized that I can build a playable force out of them for Age of Sigmar and other fantasy skirmishes. I currently have bit over hundred models for the "good side" and 60 or so for the Undead. I just wrote quite a long post about this all in my blog, so I'm not going to write it all again here, but here are some photos and few words of what it's all about:

My free men with their allies, mostly done from Perry plastics and GW, but models and bits from other manufacturers there as well.

My undead are bit more hodgepodge collection with old (and new) GW stuff, Reaper, Otherworld, Heresy, Mierce and Black scorpion in the ranks.

By clicking on the photos, you should end up to my Flickr page, that has plenty of more photos of these and other stuff.

And finally the links for additional content:

Undead part yet to come.

Hope you like it, more stuff to come eventually, although not as the first in the painting queue at the moment.

Love the freedom - very brotherhood without banners ' and love yhe green man tavern(?)

Those shiny skulls though - feel there must be a story you have in mind there...

Really great looking models from several different mini lines!

I also like the free guild, and your undead were great. Especially the LOTR dead, and the white-topped skeletons at the end!

Wonderful! Right up my street. I too love the variety of figures, it oddly feels much more like a 'realistic' force when done that way.
Really like the colour palette of the free folk.

Well mostly the shinyness has come during the photography as teh contrast is quite heavy, which on the other hand I sort of wanted.

Lovely paintjobs on everything. The undead are a favourite of mine here though. I really love the mix as it looks like they have come from lots of different ages. I like the high contrast on the skulls. Great job all round.

Found this in a keyword search for 'Mierce' and was blown away - this is one of my favourite Undead forces on the forum. Do you have more pics/more minis in the works? I am inspired.

Amazing paint work. Would love to know how you did the color on those Heresy Ghouls.
